For many of us, Diwali has been an occasion for celebration, festivity and splendour. For many others though, it comes down to the significance of the lamp itself. A lamp of hope, spreading its light of positivity to those living in moments of darkness.
Breast Cancer is one cause of such darkness. As the world’s most prevalent cancer, the World Health Organisation has estimated that in 2020 roughly 7.8 million women have been affected by breast cancer in the last 5 years alone.
For us at Gaura Travel, it has always been about going the extra mile. After a collaborative exercise with our staff, we decided to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation in the important work they do and make Diwali more meaningful.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding world-class, game-changing breast cancer research. Each day, 9 Australians lose their lives to breast cancer. They receive no government funding and need continued support to change the statistics – which is why Gaura Travel has made it a business priority to support their great work and facilitate much needed research.
