Woolworths Carols in the Domain

Sydney’s favorite Carols in the Domain is returning in 2022 to celebrate its 40th year! Mark December 17^th in your diaries to celebrate Christmas with the stars at the 40th Woolworths Carols in the Domain. As usual, The Wiggles, the world’s most popular children’s entertainment group, will perform at the Carols, which will be a star-studded event featuring Australia’s finest artists.

Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular

Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular, located on the outskirts of Sydney, is well worth the trek up north if you want to enjoy a true Christmas fantasy with your children. From November 4^th to January 26^th, Hunter Valley Gardens will host the Southern Hemisphere’s largest and most magnificent lighting display, featuring over three million lights.

Sydney is home to many Christmas events and installations.

The Ultimate Christmas Market

The Cambridge Markets are visiting Moore Park and will be offering over 120 stalls for families to explore. Parents and kids can shop for gifts, fashion, jewelry, and more, with food also available. Entertainment and activities will also be offered to keep the kids entertained. The Ultimate Christmas Market will be held on December 5^th at Moore Park.

Canopy of Light and Martin Place Christmas Tree

Enjoy the glittering lights of Pitt Street Mall, which features over 94,000 LED Christmas lights draped in a canopy above the shops. The lights switch on every day after 6pm, and if you’re lucky, carolers will be singing Christmas carols around the area. Alternatively, visit Martin Place to witness Sydney’s stunning Christmas Tree light show. The light show begins at 8 p.m. every night on the hour. This amazing event will take place from November 26^th to January 1^st.

With weeks to go for Christmas and the New Year, travellers and families are scrambling to secure last minute tickets to be with their loved ones and explore the wonders of India.

The Omicron effect (or the lack of)

As per South African reports, coronavirus experts in the country are excited to see that the new Omicron variant might be less damaging than the Delta variant.

The Omicron variant is seen to be much milder and is seen to be less lethal in its impact on humans. This means that the world only must cope with a mutant that is showing signs of being far less threatening.

Scott Morrison, the Prime Minister of Australia has already categorically denied the possibility of further lockdowns and has instead urged state leaders to continue on with their reopening plans.

Medical professionals do believe that most Covid vaccines, including the Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca jabs, are designed to protect against variants to a certain degree, similar to how they protected against previous variants (Delta, Alpha etc.)

The message is clear – yes, we have a new variant but increased knowledge about its behaviours and keeping the faith in the vaccination rollout and the overall strategy will help us continue with our travel plans with more reassurance on our safety.

Hey travellers, we have dealt with ‘bigger and badder’ villains more effectively; let us not worry about the sidekicks.
