Shedding Lights to the Distanced Hearts: Coming Home!

Chasing dreams to a faraway land requires sacrifices, one of them being away from the familiarity and comfort of being at home. Living a life that has been hoped for may be astounding, but never lose sight of the fact that there is always someone waiting for you to fly back home, reuniting the hearts that have been distanced for so long, if not, too long.

Imagine what you could be doing with your loved ones once you are back home other than feeling their presence and embracing them in person.

Walking Down the Memory Lane

Feeling nostalgic can be one of the most beautiful things that one could feel, especially being able to share it with someone special.

When you return home, you can relive the memories with your loved ones and feel your heart overflowing with joy. Additionally, engaging in the culture you have been raised in will bring up memories of doing the same thing, decades before. People have aged and time has changed, but memories stay the same.

Catching Up

A lot of things may have happened during the time you went away, and coming home means catching up with your loved ones of the times that have passed when you were apart. You may have heard the stories over the phone, and you may even have passed on your side of the story to them, but having in-person conversation just feels different.

Having a deep talk with your mother while feeling her warm embrace, or talking about business with your father and absorbing his wise advice is the definition of home and familiarity.

Planning Ahead

We are all in need to come home no matter how settled we have been in a new place. Plan your travel ahead easily and comfortably with Gaura Travel. Find all available flight options with us, and get ready to step into your homeland, and feel at ease at last.

Get Tickled Pink with Gaura Travel this Diwali

For many of us, Diwali has been an occasion for celebration, festivity and splendour. For many others though, it comes down to the significance of the lamp itself. A lamp of hope, spreading its light of positivity to those living in moments of darkness.

Breast Cancer is one cause of such darkness. As the world’s most prevalent cancer, the World Health Organisation has estimated that in 2020 roughly 7.8 million women have been affected by breast cancer in the last 5 years alone.

For us at Gaura Travel, it has always been about going the extra mile. After a collaborative exercise with our staff, we decided to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation in the important work they do and make Diwali more meaningful.

September Special

For the month of September, Gaura Travel will be donating $1 for every ticket purchased to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

This means that together, you, the community and us, can make a difference. We know that Diwali is a special occasion, where loved ones get together to celebrate this momentous festival. By booking your tickets with us, you not only stand to celebrate Diwali with loved ones but can also contribute through us to an organisation that the world needs.

Why this is important to us

Over the last 15 years, we at Gaura Travel have touched many lives and has been part of numerous stories of love, reunition and families. We make it our business to help families stay happy and healthy together.

It is critical to provide public health education to improve awareness among women of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. The importance of early detection and treatment, when breast cancer is first suspected, plays a big role in treatment and recovery.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading national body funding world-class, game-changing breast cancer research. Each day, 9 Australians lose their lives to breast cancer. They receive no government funding and need continued support to change the statistics – which is why Gaura Travel has made it a business priority to support their great work and facilitate much needed research.

Talk To Us

Remember this special initiative will only last till the end of September, so go ahead and call us! We would be happy to share more details about our initiative. Our friendly staff look forward to talking to you. Light every lamp this Diwali, knowing that you and Gaura Travel are together trying the very best to light up lives.

For this Festival Season, we are here to bring you to your loved ones back in India. We know that without having your family and loved ones by your side, your Diwali simply won’t be complete. That’s why we offer numerous Flight Deals to reunite with your loved ones and to celebrate Festival Season together. Join in the fight against breast cancer and book your flight home with us today!

Nine days, nine avatars – The nine days of Navratri

Shardiya Navratri, or the nine days of worship of Goddess Durga, starts today! Running until the 5th of October, Indians all over the world will join to celebrate each of the nine different forms of the Goddess Durga over nine days.  During Navratri, it is believed that whoever worships Goddess Durga with pure heart and devotion will find prosperity, happiness, peace and joy, as Goddess Durga abolishes all evils and bad vibes in their lives. As this is one of the most auspicious festivals among Hindus, according to the Hindu calendar, this festival is celebrated twice a year, with Chaitra Navratri taking place in Spring, while Shardiya Navratri is celebrated in Autumn to rejoice the victory of good over evil.

During Navratri, devotees fast for nine days to earn Goddess Durga’s blessings, and on the last day, they break their fast with a puja. There are two mythical stories related to this festival; the first tale depicts Goddess Durga slaying a demon named Mahishasura, who was known as an evil demon creating and spreading terror in the world. It is said that Goddess Durga was born to defeat Mahishasura, and after nine consecutive days of fierce battle, on the tenth day Goddess Durga achieves victory over Mahishasura by piercing his chest with her ‘Trident’, while he takes the form of a buffalo.

According to the second tale, Lord Ram worshipped Goddess Durga for nine days before his battle with Ravana to save his mother Sita from Lanka. Goddess Durga was pleased with Ram’s devotion, and on the tenth day of battle between Ram and Ravana, Ram finally defeated Ravana and conquered Lanka, which is celebrated as Dussehra on the 5th of October.

Let’s learn more about the nine forms of Navratri Devi, known as the nine avatars of Goddess Durga, and how devotees honour and celebrate their benevolence.

The nine avatars of the Goddess Durga

Goddess Shailputri

Navratri begins with worship of the Goddess Shaliputri, who is known as the daughter of mountains and often found in the colour of white. She is often depicted holding a Trishul in her one hand and a lotus flower in the other, while riding on a white bull named ‘Nandi’. This avatar of Goddess Durga represents a healthy life and on this day, devotees offer pure desi ghee, as well as food made with ghee to earn her blessings for a healthy long life.

Goddess Brahmacharini

On the second day of Navratri, devotees worship the Goddess Brahmacharini, who is symbolized as the mother of devotion and reparation. This form represents the Goddess Parvati while in deep meditation for years to gratify Lord Shiv. She is depicted wearing white clothes with a chanting rosary called ‘rudraksha mala’ in her right hand and a kamandalu in her left hand. By offering foods made of sugar, devotees pray for her blessings for loyalty, wisdom and knowledge.

Goddess Chandraghanta

On the third day, devotion is paid to the Goddess Chandraghanta, who is known as the avatar of the destroyer of demons. She is depicted with having ten hands, nine of them holding a trident, mace, bow, arrow, lotus, sword, bell and a waterpot, whereas the tenth hand remains in Abhay Mudra to bless her disciples. She was given the name Chandraghanta due to the curved moon on her forehead and is often depicted riding a tiger. She is often found in royal blue and her devotees believe that by offering kheer, she would take away their sorrows and pains.

Goddess Kushmanda

The fourth day of Navratri is devoted to Goddess Kushmanda, also known as Goddess of the Cosmic Egg. She is known to have eight hands and is often depicted riding a lion. Her devotees believe that she created the world with her divine and radiant smile. During this day, her devotees offer her favorite food, malpua, to worship the happy manifestations of Goddess Durga.

Goddess Skandamata

On the fifth day of Navratri, devotees pay worship to the Goddess Skandamata, also known as Panchami or Goddess of Motherhood and Children. She is depicted having four arms, two of them holding a lotus and the other two holding the sacred kamandalu, as well as a bell. She is also depicted having three eyes and a bright appearance. She is often shown riding a lion and carrying her son Lord Kartikeya or Skanda on her lap. Her favorite colour is green and her devotees pray for love by offering bananas, which is known as her favorite food.

Goddess Katyayani

The sixth day of Navratri represents Goddess Durga’s Shakti form, who is known as the Goddess Katyayani or the Goddess of Warriors. She is often depicted riding on a lion, with her four arms wielding a sword, shield, lotus and trident, respectively. Grey is her chosen colour and by offering honey and prasad, her devotees pray for her blessings on diminishing all evil around them.

Goddess Kalaratri

The seventh day is devoted to the fiercest form of Goddess Parvati, known as Kalaratri or Kali. As the legendary story goes, she sacrificed her fair skin complexion, becoming dark skinned to kill the demons Shumbha and Nishumbha. She is depicted riding on a donkey with three of her four arms wielding a sword, trident and noose. Her fourth arm can be found on Abhaya and Varada Mudra, to bless her devotees. Orange is known to be her favorite colour, and her devotees pay worship to her by offering jaggery as prasad to get her blessings.

Goddess Mahagauri

On the eighth day of Navratri, devotees dedicate their worship to the four-handed immortal Goddess Mahagauri, who is known to have the power to fulfill her devotees’ wishes. She is often depicted riding on a white elephant and holding a Trishul and damru in her hands. She is known to be fond of the colour of peacock green and her devotees offer coconut to her to pray for all their dreams to come true.

Goddess Siddhidhatri

The last day of Navratri is celebrated as the day the Goddess Durga was bestowed with her last avatar, the Goddess Siddhidhatri, as a symbol of perfection. She is known as the Goddess of Giving and Grants and is depicted having four arms, each one holding a mace, discus, book and a lotus respectively. Pink is known to be her favorite colour, and devotees pay worship to her by offering sesame seeds, while praying for safety and security from all bad vibes and evils around them.

Navratri is not only about taking all evils away from your life, but also, it’s the season to allow your body to detox all negative energies around you. Therefore, this Navratri fasting season, pay your gratitude to the Goddess Durga, while adding more positive energies to your life.

For this Festival Season, we are here to bring you to your loved ones back in India. We know that without having your family and loved ones by your side, your Navratri will not be complete. Masks mandates no longer in effect on domestic and international travel

Due to the ongoing pandemic, mask mandates during air travel have become the norm, often to the annoyance and discomfort of travellers everywhere. Well, ‘The Great Unmasking’ is now here!
As of September 9th, Australia’s Federal Department of Health has advised that masks are no longer required during air travel.  As a result, all flights travelling to Australia on or after 12.01am on 9th September 2022 (AEST) will no longer require its passengers to wear a face mask during the duration of the flight.

This change will affect all domestic flights within Australia, as well as international flights travelling to Australia. There is an exception to this, however, as different destinations may have their own mandates and requirements, certain flights travelling from Australia will still require the wearing of masks for the duration of the flight. Therefore, the Department of Health advises that travellers should be aware of the local requirements and restrictions of their destination prior to their departure.

On all Qantas flights enroute to London, Rome and the USA, mask mandates during air travel have been lifted. In addition, all flights operating through Singapore Airlines will also no longer require its passengers to wear masks, however this may also depend on the destination of your flight. While flights operating to and from Singapore, the USA, the UK, France, Switzerland, Thailand and New Zealand do not require its passengers to wear masks, travellers are advised to check the requirements of their planned destinations and follow the local health advice accordingly.

Domestic airlines have been encouraging passengers to wear facemasks on local flights since May 2020, and in the year following the federal government ruled it as a mandatory requirement on all domestic flights from and within certain states and territories. However, since mid-June this year, airports across Australia have announced that wearing masks is optional, and now that this choice has spread to within the aeroplane itself, travellers will be overjoyed knowing that they will be able to fly comfortably to the land Down Under.

As there are no quarantine or travel restrictions required in place, plan your journey to reunite with your family & friends with Gaura Travel this year. Find more Festival Season flight deals now at: https://gauratravel.com.au/flight-deals/

There are a few ways to call this tasty snack, as it is also known as Aloo Ki tikkia, Aloo ki tikki and Alu tikki. It’s prepared using boiled potatoes, peas, herbs and various authentic curry spices and served with a mint or yogurt dipping sauce. This is one popular street food snack that you’ll never want to miss!

Pakora
Deep fried spiced potato and onion fritters coated in seasoned chickpea batter…aren’t you craving it already? Of course you are! When it comes to Festival season, this street food is a must have. Most Indian restaurants around the world serve pakora as an appetizer, so you can get your fix any time of year.

Changi Airport – A Transit Metropolis

Formerly claiming the top spot on the SKYTRAX World’s Top 10 Airports and even now sitting comfortably in 3rd place, Singapore’s Changi Airport is known as one of the best airports in the world, renowned for its cleanliness, shopping, facilities and seemingly endless supply of entertainment. While an airport in both name and function, Changi also offers numerous attractions and activities for travellers to enjoy, so much so that many travellers often plan mini vacations within the airport itself rather than simply transfer to their next flight straight away. Let’s go on a tour through Changi’s facilities and figure out what exactly makes this airport so special!

Entertainment + Attractions
No airport in the world has Changi beat in terms of entertainment! Movie fanatics can enjoy a flick or two at either of the free 24-hour movie theatres located in Terminal 2 and 3. For the gamers out there, Terminal 4 also boasts an impressive Entertainment Deck where travellers can play their favourites on Xbox and Playstation. Travellers with an interest in art and history also have the opportunity to check out an impressive array of sculptures and exhibits, including the Kinetic Rain and Social Tree interactive exhibit, located in Terminal 1 and the Central Piazza. Little ones will be delighted by the numerous indoor playgrounds found within Terminals 1 and 3, the latter boasting the island’s tallest slide! For those looking to recharge and observe some greenery, travellers can check out the Cactus and Sculptural Tree Garden in Terminal 1, Interactive Enchanted Garden in Terminal 2 and even a two-story open-air Butterfly Garden in Terminal 3! Changi even has something to offer for those with some extra time and itching to do some sightseeing, operating 2-hour city tours at night for travellers at no extra cost. Finally, if you’re simply wanting to have a seat and surf the net, Changi Airport offers free Wi-Fi for all guests, so you can browse, stream and more to your hearts content.

Food + Drink
Travellers will never go hungry in Changi Airport! With over 150 restaurants and eateries spanning multiple different cuisines at different price points, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.  The International Food Hall, located in Terminal 4, hosts nine mini-restaurants, offering anything from fast food to fine dining. There’s also the Food Emporium which focuses on Asian and Singaporean dishes, as well as the Heritage Zone where travellers can sample classic Singaporean hawker stall favourites such as chicken rice, curry chicken and more. Most eateries are open 24 hours, so you can get your fix at any time during your travels.

Changi Airport

Hotels + Spa
Exhausted from your flight and looking to rest and recharge? Changi has you covered!
Each terminal sports its own transit hotel, offering overnight and day rooms. Don’t want to book a hotel? No worries! There’s plenty of lounges available throughout the airport, offering food, drinks, Wi-Fi, TV and more for a fixed entry price. Some lounges even offer shower facilities and nap rooms at an extra cost, so you can board your next flight feeling refreshed and energized. Fancy a swim or workout? Grab a pass to the swimming pool, Jacuzzi and shower facilities at the Aerotel Transit Hotel for a small fee. And finally, for those looking for a relaxing spa treatment and pampering, Changi offers a wide range of health and wellness spas as well as beauty salons throughout Terminals 1 to 3.

Shopping
Reflecting the enthusiasm for shopping held by the locals, Changi Airport is a shopaholic’s paradise! Sporting over 400 shopping and duty-free outlets, Changi is often regarded as one of the country’s hottest shopping destinations. With an array of stores spanning from clothing to souvenirs to electronics, there’s something to suit everyone’s needs. Why not stop by Asia’s largest Nike store and create your own custom-designed shoes? Or perhaps you’re looking to snag some bargains at the DFS Wine and Spirits Duplex? Have an interest in drones? Why not take one for a test flight at E-Gadget? Keen to bring some authentic Singaporean delicacies back home? Asia Favourites, Bee Cheng Hiang and Taste Singapore are waiting for you! Even for those only quickly passing through the airport to transfer to the next flight, worry not, as travellers can visit iShopChangi and buy their preferred items online prior to their flight and pick them up at their chosen departure terminal.

Staying safe when travelling with family

It’s always a good idea to check the latest travel tips and advice when planning a trip with your family, now more than ever. Visiting home in India is not only for fun, but also reuniting with your beloved family members. Staying conscious of the latest restrictions and requirements for international travel is essential to keeping you and your loved ones safe and healthy. Find out the best ways to keep you and your family safe while travelling and protect your loved ones back home.

Covid-19 remains an enduring global health pandemic

Despite the rising numbers of fully-vaccinated citizens across the world, many countries are still suffering from sudden Covid-19 outbreaks. Whether travelling alone or with family, you should always be aware of the infection rates of Covid-19 in your destination and consider the implications this may have on you and your travel companions. Whether domestic or international, all travel carries a potential risk of being exposed to, spreading or contracting Covid-19, especially if you’re travelling to a high-risk destination. As a conscious traveller, it’s essential to be mindful of not only yours but your loved one’s health and should not make travel plans if any of your family members are at high risk of severe illness.

How you should prepare to travel safely as a family together

Before travelling to India, it’s vital to check all requirements that you and your family may need to fulfil. This can include travel restrictions, vaccination status, quarantining and Covid-19 testing requirements in both your local area and expected destinations you’re planning to visit. Before and during your trip it’s highly advised to check the local government and Ministry of Health websites to stay updated on the latest information and changes that may disrupt your travel plans. In addition, checking ahead on options for healthcare, transportation, stopovers, food and accommodation at your planned destination would further ensure your family’s comfort and wellbeing during your trip, and ensure your journey is as hassle-free as possible.

If you are travelling with your family, here are some additional steps you can take to ensure a smooth journey:

  • Make sure that you and your family are up-to-date with routine vaccination requirements and testings, including MMR vaccine, seasonal flu vaccines and RT-PCR tests before your departure
  • Ensure that you and your family members passports are up-to-date and at least valid for the next 6 months from the date you plan to return home
  • Be careful to bring enough medication for the entire journey for any family members who may have health issues
  • Select the safest mode of transportation in advance to mitigate the risk of exposure to Covid-19 and other illnesses and limiting exposure to crowded public places, as well as frequently sanitizing your hands and maintaining social distancing where possible
  • Avoid travel during the peak times and congested routes wherever possible
  • Be mindful to gather in ventilated, open spaces while visiting friends or family, even for mass gatherings including weddings, pooja ceremonies or family events
  • Wear a mask while travelling or visiting high-risk locations
  • Follow the local public health advice and monitor symptoms if you or your family members become unwell before travelling

Being a conscious traveller and practicing good hygiene ensures the safety of both your family and the general public, and helps minimise the risk of contracting and spreading the Covid-19 virus around you.

Departing from Australia

If you’re travelling from Australia to India, it’s important to understand the risk of contracting Covid-19 in your destination. Therefore, some travel insurers currently offer limited cover for Covid-19. However, all passengers (including children) travelling to India must submit the ’Air-Suvidha Self-Declaration Form’ and present a full vaccination certificate or negative Covid-19 (RT-PCR) test report prior to departure.

Departing from India

Since July, it is no longer required for international travellers to fill the Digital Passenger Declaration or Maritime Travel Declaration to enter Australia. Additionally, travellers are no longer required to provide their vaccination status to enter the country. However, depending on your transport providers and stopovers along the way, there may be additional protocols to follow and safety concerns, making it essential to check and confirm the local requirements of all your travel destinations in advance before arriving at check-in.

Over 15 years as your trustworthy travel partner, at Gaura Travel our primary goal is to reunite you with your family and loved ones and giving you a smooth and hassle-free journey to your dream destination.

See you on your next journey with us!

A legend has passed.

A final goodbye
The Melbourne Cricket Ground was filled with memories on the 30th of march, honouring former Australia test cricketer Shane Warne. Shane’s contributions to his sport, the state, and the country itself magnify the passion he had for cricket. After Shane Warne’s retirement in 2007, he played for 4 years in the Indian Premier League. Warne served both as a player and mentor for Rajasthan Royals and became the captain of the team when they won the inaugural IPL in 2008, beating Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in the final.

Shane Warne’s children unveiled their fond memories of their dad and took a trip down memory lane. ‘My dad just wanted to be the best dad he could be’ said Brooke Warne as she continues to describe her beloved dad and his everlasting legacy. All three of Shane Warne’s children spoke at the memorial amongst a sea of onlookers, everyone cherishing their fond memories of Shane Warne.

Remembering the good
Many performances took place, with Ed Sheeran playing Shane’s favourite song as well as Robbie Williams performing Angels in tribute.  Actor Glenn Robbins recalled his experiences playing golf with Shane Warne saying ‘I used to play gold with him as well and it was hard because he had such a full life, and he would tell the best stories’ reminiscing core memories he has with Warne.

Andrea Egan spoke on behalf of the UN wildlife fund and commended Warne’s work which had begun last year, showing his responsibility as an Australian to protect the wildlife ‘when he joined, he expressed his hope of trying to rewrite the future and protecting animals and their habitat’

Shane Warne has impacted many lives throughout his life, from being one of the best cricketers, a father, a friend, a brother, a husband, a son, to a lover of all animals. Warne has left his mark on all of us. The Melbourne Cricket Ground’s atmosphere was quiet and sentimental in memory of Shane Warne.

Ready to rumble?

Over the last two years, two aspects of travel have been a source of a great deal of stress, but not anymore.

No exemptions. No quarantine.

Ever since travel became complicated, one of the most common sources of confusion and stress was the need to apply for exemptions. Over the last two years, our team has been submerged with questions but our 24/7 call centre has helped numerous passengers travel to and back from India.

But the great news is that passengers don’t need to worry about exemptions anymore. Speak to us about your situation to get further clarity if required.

The other added element that created concerns for travellers was having to undergo hotel quarantine – there have been many horror stories about the ‘then mandatory’ 14-day stay in a hotel without any human connection.

Melbourne Welcomes International Travellers through Sydney

If you find yourself stranded in India, unable to make your way back home to Victoria, then the information provided below is invaluable.

Read it carefully and reach out directly to us with any questions you have.

Are you hoping to find a way back home from India (anywhere in the country) to Victoria in the month of August? Or know someone who finds themselves in this situation?

It is critical to look at the various options out there – hint: there are two options of which only one option is viable for the month of August.

Flight Options in August

Option 1: You can try and book through the Australian Government’s initiative through Qantas, but they are fully sold out for the month.

Option 2: The only viable option is to book through Gaura Travel’s flights in August (full dates provided below). We still have seats available, but you need to book them as soon as possible.

The Rules – International Transit through Sydney to Victoria

The Government has provided clear instructions on how passengers will be safely allowed to transit through Sydney on to Victoria.

International travellers from India are required to undergo mandatory quarantine in Sydney, following which, they are required to immediately  travel by car (or a cab) to the airport and take a flight to Melbourne.

They are not allowed a detour or a stopover anywhere in Sydney.

The key difference to note here is that ‘Hotel Quarantine in Sydney’ is considered a GREEN ZONE, as opposed to anywhere else in Sydney which continues to be a red zone.

We can also confirm from passenger reports,  that the quarantine experience is the same in Sydney as you would expect in Melbourne.

Passengers will enter and exit GREEN ZONES as designated by the government without having to access any RED ZONE areas. Which means, travellers do not have to contend with the current situation in Sydney, if Melbourne is their final destination.

No Extra Cost to Travellers

As a show of our undying commitment to the community and our ambition to keep families together during these times, we will cover your costs to travel from Sydney to Melbourne. At this stage, we can confirm this initiative for the month of August, so please avail this while you can.

Direct Flights Options to Melbourne are Sold Out

After having spent months, and many over a year, stranded in India, we encourage travellers to think outside the box and avail solutions that are perfectly within the rules.

For the month of August, all flights directly to Melbourne are fully sold out. So please book your flights to Sydney and make your way to Melbourne, as explained above.

Gaura Travel Flights Scheduled in August

These flights depart from Chennai and arrive in Sydney the very next day:

  • August 2nd   (Sold Out)
  • August 9th

This Yoga Day, lets work IN and not OUT!

We often find people diving onto their Yoga matts and transporting into a different paradigm. Into a different world. A world overflowing with positivity and peace. So, the question is, how do they do this? And what exactly is yoga? Is it just a form of exercise? Is it a religion, a philosophy, an ideology? or is it something completely different? Gosh! The list doesn’t end.

The word “yoga” literally means “union”. Derived from the Sanskrit word “yuji,” meaning yoke or union, yoga is an ancient practice that brings together the mind, body and soul. Have you ever imagined experiencing the entire universe inside of you? Well, that is EXACTLY what yoga does. It unites you with your inner soul, your inner world.

This International Yoga Day, lets make Yoga all about working in and not out. We all deserve it after coming out of a deadly pandemic right? Now is the time to open our hearts and focus our awareness into our inner selves.

Here, we give you 10 reasons to love yoga!

  1. Can you run five miles but not touch your toes? You are not alone. Try incorporating Yoga in your life and in no time, you can twist like a Rubric cube (bad jokes are allowed). Yoga is all about balance. It increases your body’s flexibility while building internal and external strength. Through deep breathing It connects your body to your mind.
  2. Tired of working long hours and slouching your way through life? Sounds painful. How about standing up straight and honouring your spine’s natural curves? Yoga not only teaches us to stand and sit straight, with shoulders relaxed and chin up but also improves our bodily alignment, eliminating the risk of injuries.
  3. In need for some some blood rush and thinking of hanging your legs up the wall? How about we tell you that some yoga asanas have the power to instantly speed up your blood circulation?  Yes! The Yoga asanas help increase circulation throughout the spine, glands and organs, giving our body the much wanted blood and oxygen.
  4. Health is wealth, isn’t it? Today all we are so busy in our past faced lives that often we forget to take care of ourselves. Our bodies deserve to be treated. A few minutes of yoga is the right way to push that recharge button and say bye-bye to stress.
  5. Dreaming about a flat stomach, toned arms and sculpted legs?  Count us in too. Not only Yoga makes one more flexible, but also makes us stronger!
  6. *Take a deep breath and relax*. Breathing in and out is the smallest reminder we can give ourselves to beat anxiety. With physical Yoga poses, controlled breathing, and meditation we can together learn to overcome this monster called stress.
  7. “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” ― Rumi. Yoga holds the power to heal the mind, body and spirit. Yes, it does. Let’s open our hearts and fasten the healing of body. Be it injuries, mental stress or any illness, a few moments with Yoga everyday can leave you healed, rejuvenated, and refreshed.
  8. The best gift your body can give you is a good night’s sleep, right? In fact, practicing yoga before bedtime is the best way to release everything you’re holding onto mentally or physically before sinking in the peaceful sleep mode.
  9. What’s a nicer way to connect with people than a fun yoga class? Yoga can transform your body, your attitude and your awareness. By connecting with people through Yoga, you have the power to exchange energies and refresh your soul.
  10. Yoga is a transformational practice that strengthens the life force within. It teaches us to overcome internal and external obstacles that come with everyday life. It builds that emotional connection with oneself and teaches us to value life.

Enough said right? Now its time to take your yoga off the mat and into your life!!

Essential Travel Permitted

After months of dormancy due to the raging pandemic, Australia is gearing up for a return to small normalcy with borders reopening to India and permitting essential travel.

Australia opened its borders to India on 15th May, and gave a green signal for the travel operations between India and Australia to resume. This comes as good news to more than 11,000 Australians who are stuck in India and wish to travel back to Australia.

Australian citizens have been grieving the loss of loved ones in India because of border restrictions preventing travel on compassionate grounds under any circumstances. However, with the decline in the COVID-19 cases in India, Australia has now allowed citizens to travel to India for compassionate and care giving reasons.

So if you are in limbo and not sure whether you can travel to India to provide care to your family, the answer is YES!

Who can travel to India from Australia?

Based on current health advice, individuals seeking an exemption to travel from Australia to India will only be approved for the following limited circumstances:

  1. Critical workers providing assistance to India’s COVID-19 response.
  2. People travelling in Australia’s national interest.
  3. People seeking urgent medical treatment for a critical illness that cannot be treated in Australia.
  4. People travelling due to the death or funeral of a close family member.
  5. People visiting a close family member who is critically ill.
  6. People seeking to travel to India to escort an Australian citizen or permanent resident minor back to Australia.
